About Sophia
I'm so glad you found
your way here.
I completed over 750 hours of massage therapy training at the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy in the beautiful coastal town of Sámara, Costa Rica. I was lucky enough to learn in a place where education centered not only on anatomy and technique, but on slowing down, becoming present, and treating each person as an individual rather than a protocol.
No two bodies are the same, which is why I don't believe any two sessions should be either.
After becoming licensed in massage therapy, I continued my education with over 150 hours of craniosacral therapy training through the Upledger Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, founded by Dr. John E. Upledger, the creator of the modality. Along with foundational craniosacral therapy training, I've completed advanced intraoral (mouth work) training to help address restrictions throughout the body. I've also had the privilege of serving as a support therapist during a five-day craniosacral therapy intensive program with Integrative Intentions, where I witnessed the depth of healing that can happen when people are given the space to truly settle into their bodies.
My curiosity has also led me beyond physical techniques. Through learning neuro-linguistic programming, I've learned how closely our thoughts, emotions, and physical patterns can be connected. While every session begins with touch, I've come to appreciate that healing often involves more than muscles alone. My intention is to meet you wherever you are — physically, mentally, emotionally, or somewhere in between.
This is only the beginning of my journey, and the rest continues with you. Every client teaches me something new, and being fully present with the people who trust me with their care is one of the greatest gifts of this work.
